2017 Reserve Pinot Noir
Pale brick garnet in colour this wine has aromas of macerated strawberries, dried oregano, basil and mint. There is some rose petal perfumed lift on the nose and some elusive spice -somewhere between cinnamon sticks and star anise, with a touch of tamarind. Quite fine and elegant on the palate with more macerated strawberry and a touch of pomegranate molasses. The acid is firm and tannins soft. A wine that could be matched to grilled lamb cutlets, with or without a bit of spice, on a bed of slow cooked green lentils.
